EBGIS is Now an IB Candidate School!

We are delighted to announce that after a rigorous planning and application process, EBGIS is now a candidate school* for the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme. EBGIS is pursuing authorization as an IB World School. IB World Schools share a common philosophy – a commitment to high-quality, challenging, international education – that we believe is important for our students.

Our achievement of candidacy is a critical step for EBGIS, as we are launching our high school offering in the 2021/22 school year. We are thrilled that our rising eighth graders will be able to continue their education with us as our leading class of ninth graders in 2021/22, becoming our first high school graduating class of 2025!

* Only schools authorized by the IB Organization can offer any of its four academic programmes: the Primary Years Programme (PYP), the Middle Years Programme (MYP), the Diploma Programme (DP), or the Career-related Programme (CP). Candidate status gives no guarantee that authorization will be granted.
