2020 Summer Camp
We have received confirmation that Alameda County will update its shelter-in-place order on Friday. The updated order will allow childcare and summer camps to open for all children as of Monday, June 8. There will no longer be any limitation on attendance based on parents’ occupation. In other respects, the new county guidance will be consistent with the EBGIS Safe Return-to-Campus Procedure that was previously distributed and that we also shared with the Alameda County Public Health Department.
Given the interest our community has expressed in summer childcare and summer camp, we have expanded our summer camp program. We are now offering three preschool groups with ten children in each group; and one kindergarten group and two grades groups with twelve children in each group. We have also extended our grades camp to four weeks instead of two. From June 15 through July 10, camp will be offered daily from 8am to 4pm, except on July 3 which is an observed holiday.
With the expanded camp, a few additional spots are available. If you are interested but have not yet registered or been waitlisted, please fill out the form below. Remaining spots will be filled on a first come first served basis.
Summer camp teachers will include our current Early Childhood faculty and Olivia Kistler, Paul Terstegen and Jens Hoebel for the grades, as well as some of our new incoming faculty. Group allocation will be finalized next week. Summer camp will be conducted in accordance with our Safe Return-to-Campus Procedure in small stable groups.
