Application Process
Our application process is designed to introduce your family to our programs and vibrant community, while also allowing us to get to know you. Application steps vary by grade level, and all applications, supplemental forms, and required activities are due by January 2026.
We also offer rolling admissions for grades in which we have open seats. If you are applying outside of the main admissions season, we encourage you to reach out to inquire about current availability.

To submit an initial inquiry, click here and fill out the form. This enables us to provide you with more information about the admissions process, including upcoming virtual and online events. You are welcome to attend these events to get to know our program better, and to help us get to know you.

When we have received your inquiry, we will send you information about how to create an account in the EBGIS | EBIHS Ravenna portal which will enable you to submit an application and track your progress through the application process.

Create an account in the EBGIS | EBIHS Ravenna portal following the instructions you received upon inquiring. - Complete Your Application
Follow the steps in Ravenna to provide all required application information and documents. - Obtain an Evaluation From Your Current or Prior School
For students who have previously attended school, application to any Bay Area school typically requires a Confidential Student Evaluation Form to be filled out by your child’s current or former school. Download the form below and ask your child's teacher or school administrator to complete it and submit it directly to to our Admissions Office at admissions@ebgis.org.

Step 5: Sign the Enrollment Contract
To secure your child’s place at EBGIS, new families should complete the Enrollment Contract by March 26, 2026. Families who submit their contract by this date qualify for the $800 enrollment fee. Contracts submitted after March 26 are be subject to the increased enrollment fee of $1,200 per student.

All applicants complete a set of diagnostic assessments designed not for admissions decisions, but to help us understand each student’s academic profile and learning strengths. These assessments guide class placement and ensure that every student receives the individualized support or extension they need to thrive at EBIHS.
Students complete:

A Mathematics and English diagnostic aligned with the California Common Core Standards

For bilingual or multilingual students, an AAPPL (ACTFL Assessment of Performance toward Proficiency in Languages) to determine language proficiency levels across listening, speaking, reading, and writing domains on the ACTFL proficiency scale
The diagnostic process helps us personalize your child’s learning experience from the very start.
