Welcome to the East Bay International High School (EBIHS), a fully accredited International Baccalaureate (IB) World School offering the prestigious IB Diploma Programme (DP) to all enrolled students. As the only multilingual IB high school in the East Bay, EBIHS combines academic excellence with global awareness and intercultural understanding.
A Multilingual Education With No Prior Foreign Language Required
EBIHS is open to students from all language backgrounds. No prior knowledge of German or any other foreign language is needed for admission. Students may select from multiple language tracks with courses available from beginner to native-speaker level in German, French, and Spanish. Instruction in all other subjects is in English.
EBIHS students begin advanced coursework in grades 9 and 10, including a selection of Advanced Placement (AP) classes, before entering the IB Diploma Programme in grades 11 and 12. Students completing high-level coursework in two languages earn the distinguished Bilingual IB Diploma, awarded to only a quarter of IB graduates worldwide.
