Live Readings - Andreas Steinhöfel

Andreas Steinhöfel brings his characters to life - tender, empathetic, and full of heart. Readers of all ages learn, laugh and cry. The award-winning children's and teen book author will be at EBGIS for his only two appearances in the United States.

Andreas Steinhöfel received the Erich Kästner Prize for Literature in 2009 and the German Children’s Literature Award in 2013. In addition to writing wonderful books for young readers such as The Spaghetti Detectives, An Elk Dropped In and The Center of the World, he has translated works of Roddy Doyle and Jerry Spinelli, and he writes for television and radio as well as editing graphic novels.

Andreas Steinhöfel's visit is part of the Deutschlandjahr 2018/2019 - Year of German-American Friendship. The initiative is funded by the German Foreign Office, implemented by the Goethe Institut, and supported by The Federation of German Industries (BDI).
