Live Readings - Andreas Steinhöfel

Andreas Steinhöfel brings his characters to life - tender, empathetic, simple with a heart. And so he succeeds in making his readers, big and small, think, laugh and cry. The award-winning children's and teen book author is at EBGIS - for the only two readings in the United States.

Andreas Steinhöfel received the Erich Kästner Prize for Literature in 2009 and the German Children’s Literature Award in 2013. In addition to writing amazing books for young readers like The Spaghetti Detectives, An Elk dropped in and The Center of the World, he translates works of Roddy Doyle and Jerry Spinelli, writes for television and radio, and edits graphic novels.

Andreas Steinhöfel" is part of the Deutschlandjahr 2018/2019 - year of German-American Friendship. The initiative is funded by the German General Foreign Office, implemented by the Goethe Institut, and supported by The Federation of German Industries (BDI).
