🌍 2026 EBGIS Cultural Exchange Opportunities

At East Bay German International School, we believe that immersive experiences are powerful tools for educating global citizens. We are proud to offer two cultural exchange opportunities in 2026 for our middle and high school students. Each program builds global competencies, language fluency, and lifelong friendships.

Destinations Berlin & Munich (Germany)

EBGIS students will begin their journey in Munich before heading to Berlin for a full immersion experience with our partner school, Berlin Cosmopolitan School (BCS). BCS is an innovative IB World School serving 700 students from over 44 countries. It emphasizes nature-based learning and intercultural understanding, with access to a school forest and the Müggelsee Nature Campus. Students will:

• Live with German host families

• Attend classes at a bilingual IB World School

• Explore both southern and northern Germany

• Connect deeply with German peers and culture

Trip Details

• Dates: April 4/5–15/16, 2026

• Target Group: 5-9 Graders

• Cost: $1,789

• Deposit: $500 due October 3 via ParentSquare

• Includes: All school costs, meals, homestay, and planned cultural activities

• Families Cover: Flights, select hotels/meals, and student pocket money

• Reciprocal Visit: German students will visit EBGIS in Fall 2026
