🌍 2026 EBGIS Cultural Exchange Opportunities

At East Bay German International School, we believe that immersive experiences are powerful tools for educating global citizens. We are proud to offer two cultural exchange opportunities in 2026 for our middle and high school students. Each program builds global competencies, language fluency, and lifelong friendships.

✈️ Destination Guayaquil (Ecuador)

Students participating in the cultural exchange will visit Colegio Alemán Humboldt, a trilingual German school in Guayaquil, Ecuador. Founded in 1961, Colegio Alemán Humboldt is a German-recognized school abroad with a vibrant campus, including science labs, a library, a theater, and modern sports facilities. this two-week cultural exchange offers students a chance to:

• Live with Ecuadorian host families

• Participate in local school life

• Explore Ecuador’s culture, history, and language

• Build friendships across cultures

Trip Details

• Dates: February 2–13, 2026

• Target group: 5-11 Graders

• Cost: $1,149

• Deposit: $500 due October 3 via ParentSquare

• Includes: Cultural excursions, beach weekend in Salinas, and visits to key landmarks like the Ecuadorian Olympic Committee and Parque Histórico
