Elementary School


We are looking for a dedicated and reliable teacher with German teaching qualifications for our Elementary School (part time).

Requirements:

  • Completed studies in the field of education and teaching credentials for elementary school
  • At least 3 years teaching and classroom experience (traineeship plus 1 year) - ideally in a bilingual environment
  • Experience with differentiated teaching and supporting language development
  • Experience working in mixed grade-settings
  • Experience with interdisciplinary project-based work
  • Responsibility, flexibility, organizational ability, team and communication skills, cultural open-mindedness, strong commitment and resilience, commitment to school development
  • Knowledge of, or the ability to quickly become familiar with, the Thuringian curriculum
  • Very good German and English language skills
  • A valid US Work Permit (Green Card/EAD) is required for this position

Job profile:

We are looking for teachers with a high degree of dedication, flexibility, team spirit, creativity, and the willingness and ability to take initiative and innovate. We expect our staff to be engaged beyond their classroom responsibilities, including participation in conferences, staff development days, parent conferences and meetings, excursions, school trips, and other activities that promote the school's programs and community.

Wir suchen zum Schuljahr 2018/19 eine engagierte und belastbare Ortslehrlehrkraft (OLK) mit Lehrbefähigung für die Grundschule (Teilzeit)

Voraussetzungen:

  • Abgeschlossene pädagogische Ausbildung und Lehrbefähigung für die Grundschule
  • Mindestens 3 Jahre Unterrichts- und Klassenleitungserfahrung (Referendariat plus 1 Jahr) – idealerweise in einem bilingualen Umfeld
  • Erfahrung in differenziertem Unterrichten und der Förderung der Sprachentwicklung
  • Erfahrung in jahrgangsübergreifendem Arbeiten
  • Erfahrung in fächerübergreifender Projektarbeit
  • Eigenverantwortung, Flexibilität und Organisationsvermögen, Team- und Kommunikationsfähigkeit, kulturelle Aufgeschlossenheit, ausgeprägte Einsatzbereitschaft und Belastbarkeit, Engagement für die innere Schulentwicklung.
  • Kenntnis bzw. schnelle Einarbeitung in den thüringischen Lehrplan
  • Sehr gute deutsche und englische Sprachkenntnisse
  • Eine gültige US Arbeitserlaubnis (Green Card/EAD) ist für diese Stelle Voraussetzung
